Fuck It, We’re Soft Friday Me vs. Me

One thing about me is I’ve never been the type of woman to compete with other women. That’s just never been my thing.

I’ve always believed that my biggest competition is the woman I used to be.

I don’t look sideways because everybody’s journey is different. We all have different goals, different struggles, different responsibilities, and different timelines. What works for someone else may not be meant for me, and that’s okay.

My focus has always been on upgrading myself.

Am I healthier than I was last year?

Am I taking better care of myself than I used to?

Am I healing?

Am I more active?

Am I becoming a better mother, business owner, friend, and woman?

Those are the questions that matter to me.

Because life isn’t about trying to keep up with everyone else. It’s about becoming the best version of yourself at your own pace.

Just because somebody reaches a goal before you doesn’t mean you’re behind. It simply means you’re on different paths.

Keep moving.

Even if your progress is slower than someone else’s, progress is still progress.

And while I’ve never believed in competing with other women, I do believe in celebrating them. Learn how to clap for people when good things happen to them. Learn how to congratulate others without feeling threatened. There is enough room for all of us to win.

The energy you put out into the world has a way of finding its way back to you.

So no, it has never been me versus her.

It’s always been Me vs. Me.

I’m just trying to become a woman that last year’s version of me would be proud of.

Your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s to be beautiful.

What does “Me vs. Me” look like for you this year?

Maybe it’s healing.

Maybe it’s getting healthier.

Maybe it’s choosing peace.

Maybe it’s simply refusing to give up.

Whatever your journey looks like, keep showing up for yourself. Progress doesn’t have to be perfect to count.
