💕 Fuck It, We’re Soft Fridays: Falling Off and Getting Back Up
So let’s be real—I haven’t worked out in like 3 or 4 weeks now. And it’s been on my mind heavy because I know if I don’t get back to it now, I’m gonna lose all the progress I’ve worked for.
And it’s wild how hard it is to stay consistent with something you actually want. Why is it so easy to fall off?
Honestly, I think for me it’s lack of motivation and inspiration. I’m by myself most of the time—besides my daughter. I tell myself I don’t care about being alone, but I kinda do. Maybe not in the way people think, but enough that it matters. I know I need more people around me who live the same lifestyle, who can push me and hold me accountable.
Next month? My focus is locked in on getting back to routine: working out, eating better, staying on the path that’s best for me.
Because this is the truth: sometimes we fuck up. Sometimes we fall off. But as long as you’re willing to get the fuck back up, that’s what matters.
And no, I can’t tell you how long you’re allowed to be down. But realize it quick enough before you end up right back where you started—or worse.
We talk about self-care all the time, but why do we always put ourselves last?
💡
Tips + Tricks for Getting Back Into Your Routine
Because falling off is normal. Staying down isn’t. Here are some real ways to get back to you:
✅ 1. Start Small, Start Today
Don’t wait for Monday. Don’t plan a whole new life in one night. Take one step today. A 10-minute stretch, a quick walk, one healthy meal.
✅ 2. Schedule It Like It Matters
Your workouts and self-care aren’t “extras”—they’re appointments with yourself. Block time in your calendar. Set reminders. Make it non-negotiable.
✅ 3. Affirmations & Mindset Work
Talk to yourself the way you want to feel:
“I deserve to feel good.”
“I’m consistent.”
“I keep promises to myself.”
Write them down. Say them out loud.
✅ 4. Journal It Out
Write why you want this. Write how it feels when you’re in routine vs. when you’re not. Be honest with yourself. Getting clear = staying committed.
✅ 5. Prepare the Night Before
Lay out your workout clothes. Plan your meals. Remove the friction so tomorrow’s you doesn’t have to think twice.
✅ 6. Find Accountability
Tell a friend. Post about it. Join a class. Ask someone to check in on you. Motivation fades, but accountability holds.
✅ 7. Be Kind But Honest With Yourself
Missing one day isn’t failure. Missing a month doesn’t mean you can’t get back. Just don’t lie to yourself about how you’re showing up.
This is your sign (and mine) to put you first again.
