Take What You Need Tuesday: Find a Hobby

One thing I think we don’t talk about enough is finding things to do outside of the club.

Now before anybody gets offended, let me say this first. There is absolutely nothing wrong with going out and having a good time. Babe, do you. If you like going to the club every weekend, that’s your business.

But don’t let the club become your whole personality.

Just like I always say don’t be male centered, don’t be club centered either.

If you can find the time to get dressed every weekend, spend money on drinks, and be outside every Friday and Saturday, then you can definitely find time to pour back into yourself too.

Find a hobby.

Learn a skill.

Do something that excites you.

Maybe that’s pouring resin. Maybe it’s crocheting. Maybe it’s painting your house. Maybe it’s learning lawn care. Maybe it’s reading books, taking walks, learning how to skate, fishing, or even going to the gun range.

And let’s stop acting like certain hobbies are only for men. Baby, if race cars interest you, go race cars. If fishing sounds fun, go fishing. If you want to learn how to use tools and fix things around your house, do that too.

Nothing is off limits.

I personally like to call myself a jack of all trades, master of none because I’m always trying something new. I don’t feel like I have to stay in one box or stick to one hobby forever.

Life is supposed to be fun, babe.

You’re allowed to experience things.

You’re allowed to be interested in more than work, men, kids, and the club.

Go find something that pours back into you.

You don’t have to master everything you try. Sometimes it’s enough just to enjoy it.

Take what you need today:

🩷 A hobby.

🩷 A new experience.

🩷 Something that brings you peace.

🩷 Permission to try something new.

Because babe, life is too short to only know one version of yourself.
