Take What You Need Tuesday: You Are the Change You Seek

Lately, I’ve found myself in a better mental space. Not perfect, but peaceful. And that peace didn’t come from waiting on someone to save me — it came from realizing that I am the one I’ve been waiting for.

If you’re feeling stuck, lonely, or overwhelmed, know this: no one is coming to rescue you. Except maybe the Lord, if that’s where your faith lies. But even then, faith without action is just a wish. You have to get up, get moving, and make things shake.

Start small. Identify what’s making you unhappy. Is it your environment? Your habits? The people around you? Begin by detaching from anything that disrupts your peace. Remember, you don’t need to be tough all the time. Softness is strength, too.

There are countless resources at your fingertips. Want to work out? YouTube has beginner-friendly videos. Looking to embrace your femininity? Pinterest is a goldmine. From skincare routines to journaling prompts, the tools are there — you just have to use them.

Stop comparing your journey to others. The only person you need to compete with is the one in the mirror. Ask yourself: What can I do differently today? What will make me happier? You only get one life — don’t waste it living for someone else’s approval.

The Power of Self-Care: What the Numbers Say

  • Women are nearly twice as likely as men to experience depression.

  • Regular self-care practices can significantly reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.

  • Engaging in activities like exercise, journaling, and skincare routines has been linked to improved mood and mental well-being.

Take What You Need Today:

  • A moment of stillness: Breathe deeply and center yourself.

  • A step forward: Identify one small change you can make today.

  • A commitment to self: Promise to prioritize your well-being.

Remember, transformation doesn’t happen overnight, but each small step brings you closer to the life you deserve.

Don’t wait on a better life to find you — go create it. Drop a comment and let me know: what’s one small change you can commit to this week?
